CHALLENGE

Train stations in the rainy Pacific Northwest can be monotonous, dreary, and stressful for travelers. Artwork should resonate with the diverse community of Kent, a city with deep agricultural roots.

CONCEPT

Pollinating plants are essential for healthy ecosystems, oxygen production, biodiversity, and food systems. By magnifying pollen to a heroic scale, we invite viewers to appreciate their intricate beauty and reflect on the crucial work they perform. The gentle radiance of this piece promises to add warmth even on the darkest of Pacific Northwest days.

"Pollination" is in harmonious dialogue with "Gather", another collaboration spanning the platform glass.
